We are seeing beautiful days…
What we see as dust on the horizon is, in fact
the collapse of a sinister cloud of illusion, with all the fears and desires it
has created. This cloud is dispersed, not by other winds of illusion, but by small
yet numerous awakenings of individuals and communities.
These awakenings to themselves and to one
another will certainly not be painless and at once. But the towers of fear, presented
as the only way of living and the languages that have built them have begun to
collapse. Beyond appears a myriad of new
places, ways and languages which tell all of us that there is no possibility or
meaning in turning back.
We are not afraid of changing, to be changed or
to imagine a common life together. Ahead of us lay times of re-encountering
with our voices, our bodies, our homes, our streets, the soil, the water and
our cities. And with confidence we will defend them without compromise or
delay.
Seyyar Forum, is a collective of individuals, whose
paths have crossed when they came out of their homes for Gezi Park and could
not go back; with the realization that their houses are no longer the same they
have started working towards the languages, places and ways of this new era.
